ABOUT US

Safe Haven Education is a survivor-founded training organisation dedicated to raising awareness of domestic abuse and improving professional responses across the UK.

We specialise in helping professionals recognise, respond to and prevent abuse, with a particular focus on coercive control, economic abuse and post-separation abuse.

Our training combines survivor insight with expert knowledge of UK law, safeguarding frameworks and trauma-informed practice. We work with organisations that want to move beyond awareness and towards meaningful, responsible action.

We believe that ending violence against women and girls requires preparedness. We give professionals the tools to recognise the signs, understand patterns of behaviour and respond safely and effectively.

Safe Haven Education is the creator of SafePolicy™, a free-to-adapt workplace domestic abuse policy and guidance framework.

Our Approach

Safe Haven Education was founded by a survivor of coercive control and post-separation abuse. That experience sits at the centre of our work and shapes how we design and deliver training.

It is supported by professional expertise in safeguarding, compliance and trauma-informed communication, as well as a background in SaaS and technology organisations. This combination allows us to bridge the gap between policy and practice, recognise patterns others miss, and deliver training that is grounded, credible and human.

PatternShield™

Safe Haven Education is currently developing PatternShield™, a research led pattern recognition platform designed to support professionals assessing evidence of coercive control and post separation abuse.

Coercive control is rarely identifiable through single incidents. It typically emerges through cumulative behaviours over time. PatternShield™ is being developed to explore how structured pattern analysis may strengthen safeguarding, investigative and risk assessment processes.

PatternShield™ remains in development and reflects our wider commitment to improving professional recognition of complex abuse dynamics through survivor informed and evidence based innovation.
